Contracts

An Alaska seller accepts an offer but then decides they want a higher price before closing. Without the buyer's agreement, the seller:

ACan unilaterally change the price since they own the property
BCannot change the price — an accepted offer creates a binding contract✓ Correct
CCan change the price by filing an addendum without the buyer's signature
DCan only change the price with approval from the Alaska Real Estate Commission

Explanation

Once an offer is accepted and a binding purchase agreement exists, neither party can unilaterally change the terms. The seller cannot demand a higher price — doing so would be a breach of contract. Any modification to the purchase price must be agreed to in writing by both parties.
