Here's the complete process to get your Nebraska real estate salesperson license in 2025.
Eligibility - At least **19 years old** (Nebraska requires 19, not 18) - High school diploma or equivalent; good moral character
Step 1: Complete 60 Hours of Prelicense Education NREC-approved courses covering Nebraska law, principles, agency, contracts, fair housing. **Cost**: $200-$400.
Step 2: Apply to NREC Apply at **nrec.nebraska.gov**: Application fee: **$90**; background check required.
Step 3: Pass the Exam Schedule through **PSI**: - 110 questions (80 national + 30 Nebraska); 3 hours; 70% passing - Exam fee: **$75**; score reported immediately
Step 4: Activate with a Sponsoring Broker License inactive until associated with a licensed Nebraska broker.
Renewal Every **2 years**; **18 hours** CE per cycle (6 mandatory). Renewal fee: ~$70. Note: Nebraska requires applicants to be **19 years old**.
