Contracts

A contract entered into by a minor (under 18) in California is generally:

AVoid and completely unenforceable
BVoidable by the minor but binding on the adult party✓ Correct
CFully binding on both parties
DValid only with parental co-signature

Explanation

Contracts with minors are voidable, not void. The minor may disaffirm (cancel) the contract upon reaching the age of majority, but the adult party cannot cancel based solely on the other party's minority. The minor can also choose to ratify the contract once they become an adult.
