CAll complaints go directly to state court for resolution
DComplaints are handled by the county where the violation occurred
Explanation
When a complaint is filed with IDFPR, the Department investigates to determine if there is probable cause of a license law violation. If probable cause is found, IDFPR may attempt to resolve the matter informally through a consent order, or proceed to a formal administrative hearing before the Department. Possible disciplinary actions include reprimand, probation, fines, license suspension, or revocation.
