After the Course: How Much More? **No real estate background**: 4-5 weeks, 1-2 hours/day **Business/law background**: 3-4 weeks **Licensed in another state**: 2-3 weeks on Montana-specific content
Week-by-Week Plan **Week 1**: Montana license law — Board of Realty Regulation under DLI, MCA Title 37/Chapter 51, 2-year renewal, 12 hours CE, 5-year record retention. **Week 2**: Water rights — prior appropriation, senior vs. junior rights, appurtenant vs. non-appurtenant, how they transfer with property. **Week 3**: Agency and disclosures — written buyer agency, dual agency written consent, material fact disclosure requirements. **Week 4**: National content — financing, valuation (cap rate), fair housing, contracts. **Week 5**: Full timed practice exams. Target 78%+ before scheduling.
