Mississippi License Law

Under MS Code §73-35, the MREC has the power to investigate complaints against licensees. A complaint may be initiated by:

AOnly the harmed consumer
BA consumer, another licensee, or the MREC itself through its own investigation✓ Correct
COnly the Mississippi Attorney General
DOnly if the licensee is convicted of a crime

Explanation

MREC may receive complaints from consumers, other licensees, or other parties. MREC may also initiate its own investigation when it has reason to believe a violation has occurred, without waiting for a formal complaint.
